Long before it became Hidden Springs Venue, this beautiful 170-acre property was known as Hidden Valley Camp, a summertime haven for kids through the Boys and Girls Club of America.

A Nostalgic Retreat: Hidden Valley Camp

If you grew up around Chattanooga or the surrounding areas, chances are you, or someone you know, spent a summer or two at Hidden Valley. For years, it was the kind of place where kids could unplug, get a little muddy, and just be kids. There were cabins nestled in the woods, a lake perfect for swimming and canoeing, and enough trails and campfires to keep young adventurers busy from sunrise to lights-out.

Fast forward to 2019, when Tom and Julie Willumson saw something special in the old campgrounds. Instead of letting the property fade into history, they breathed new life into it, reimagining it as a one-of-a-kind wedding and event venue.

They didn’t wipe the slate clean. In fact, one of the coolest things about Hidden Springs is how it holds onto its camp roots while offering all the comforts and charm you’d want for your big day. Those rustic cabins? They’ve been lovingly updated and now serve as cozy spots for guests to stay overnight. The old recreation center? It’s now a gorgeous, modern barn that makes for an unforgettable reception space.

Today, Hidden Springs is one of the most unique venues in the region. It’s got a nine-acre lake, open fields, towering trees, and sunsets that’ll make your wedding photos look like a dream.
